Secure Password Generator

Create a strong, randomly generated password for your online accounts. Customize the length and character types, generate a new password instantly, and keep each account protected with a unique password.

Create a strong password

Choose your settings, then generate a fresh password with your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator.

Generated locally
The password will appear here after you generate it. It is not saved by this tool.

Password length: 20 characters

Choose a length from 12 to 64 characters. The default is 20.
Character options
Customize the symbols used. Enter unique printable ASCII punctuation only; do not include spaces, letters, or numbers.

Privacy: Password generation happens locally in this browser using the Web Crypto API. This page does not send passwords to an API, store them in browser storage, or include password analytics or history. The website host may still process routine connection logs needed to serve the page.

About duplicate passwords: Independent random generation cannot guarantee that two people will never receive the same password. This tool does not collect passwords or use a global registry; it instead uses fresh cryptographically secure randomness to make accidental collisions extraordinarily unlikely when a large character set and length are used.

Password security basics

Use strong, unique passwords

A generated password is one part of account security. Pair it with unique credentials, safe storage, and any additional protections the service supports.

What Makes a Strong Password?

Length, randomness, and unpredictability matter. A longer password selected randomly from a broad character set is generally harder to guess than a short or predictable one. Use a different generated password for every account.

Should I Reuse the Same Password?

No. If one service is breached, attackers may try the exposed password on other websites. A unique password for each account helps limit the damage from a breach at a single service.

Is This Password Generator Safe to Use?

The generator uses the browser's Web Crypto API and does not intentionally transmit or persist the password. No global duplicate registry is used. Keep your browser and device secure, and remember that no password alone guarantees account security.

Should Banking and Social Accounts Use Different Passwords?

Yes. Every account should have its own strong, unique password, regardless of account type. Requirements vary: some services limit password length or accepted symbols, so adjust these settings when necessary.

Should I Use a Password Manager?

A reputable password manager can help generate, store, and organize unique passwords so you do not have to memorize every one. This page only generates a password; it is not a password manager and does not save or sync credentials.

What Else Can Protect My Accounts?

Enable multi-factor authentication or use passkeys when the service supports them. Keep recovery options current, watch for phishing, and check that you are signing in to the real website or app.
