The basics
A small site, a straightforward policy
Synth Visual is an informational website that publishes guides about technology, VPNs, networking, online privacy, and digital security. This policy describes the site's current setup in practical terms. It is not a privacy statement for GitHub, Hostinger, or any other third-party service.
The pages currently published are primarily static articles. Synth Visual does not currently offer visitor accounts, a comment system, a newsletter signup, or on-site payments. We do not ask visitors to create profiles or submit personal details to read the articles.
Information processed when you visit
The site is published using GitHub Pages. GitHub's documentation states that when a GitHub Pages site is visited, the visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes. GitHub operates that hosting infrastructure and handles those logs under its own policies; Synth Visual does not control GitHub's log-retention practices or receive every technical log.
Depending on how a service operates, technical information such as an IP address, request time, browser or device details, and the requested page may be processed by infrastructure providers to deliver, maintain, or protect the service. If you contact us
The site does not currently have an on-site contact form. If you email Synth Visual using contact details provided on the About page, we will receive the email address you use and whatever information you choose to include in your message.
We use that information to read and respond to your message, follow up on a site-related request, and keep reasonable records of the conversation where needed. Please do not send passwords, payment card details, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information in an ordinary email.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
As of the date above, the pages maintained by Synth Visual do not intentionally use a first-party analytics platform or behavioral advertising service. The site's small scripts support page features such as navigation and reading progress; they are not intended to build visitor profiles.
Hosting infrastructure, browsers, or third-party services may use their own technical mechanisms. If we add analytics, advertising, embedded content, or other tools that collect information or use non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.
External websites and affiliate links
Articles may link to external websites, documentation, tools, or service providers. Once you leave Synth Visual, the third party's own privacy policy and practices apply. We do not control how an external site collects or uses information, so review its policy before providing details there.
Where an article uses an affiliate link, the provider or affiliate network may use referral information or similar technologies to identify that a visit or purchase came from the link. Any information collected after you follow that link is handled under the third party's terms and privacy practices. How information is used and shared
In practical terms, information may be used to make the site available and secure, respond to messages you send, and address legitimate technical or legal issues. Synth Visual does not sell personal information to third parties. We do not maintain a user-profile database for the current static site.
Information may be processed by providers involved in hosting, domain management, email, or a service you choose to visit. It may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to address security, misuse, or protection of rights. Providers handle data in their own roles and under their own policies; we cannot set their retention periods or practices.
How long information is kept
Synth Visual does not maintain a database of website visitor profiles. If you email us, we aim to keep the correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain the conversation, or address a legitimate legal or security need. Technical hosting logs are managed by GitHub, and their retention is governed by GitHub's policies rather than by Synth Visual.
Security
The site is intended to be served over HTTPS, which encrypts the connection between your browser and the website. We take a simple, privacy-conscious approach by not asking readers to submit personal information in order to read our content. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, however.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can choose not to email us and can leave the site at any time. Your browser also provides settings to manage cookies and site data. Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to exercise other rights provided by law.
To make a privacy-related request, use the contact method published on our About page. We may need enough information to understand and respond to the request, but we will not ask you to send sensitive documents unless there is a genuine and lawful need.
Children's privacy
Synth Visual is a general-audience educational website and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The site does not currently offer accounts, comments, or registration. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us through the About page so we can review the matter.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the site or its tools change. The date at the top indicates when it was last revised. If we add features such as analytics, advertising, a newsletter, forms, or embedded third-party tools, this page should be reviewed and updated to describe the actual practices in use.
